Electronics deserve a second life
5R Electronics is a Colorado company built on a simple idea: the electronics we no longer need shouldn't end up in a landfill when they can be recycled responsibly — or refurbished and put back to work in the community.
Our story
We started 5R Electronics because too many good devices — and a lot of harmful e-waste — were being thrown away across the Front Range. We make it easy to do the right thing: schedule a free pickup, know your data is destroyed securely, and trust that anything usable goes to a neighbor who needs it while the rest is recycled responsibly.
Keeping e-waste out of landfills
Old electronics contain materials that don't belong in the ground. We recycle non-reusable items responsibly so they're handled the way they should be.
Protecting your data
Before anything moves on, hard drives are wiped and destroyed to U.S. Department of Defense standards. A certificate of destruction is available whenever you need documentation.
Rehoming devices in the community
Usable computers, laptops, phones, and tablets are refurbished and given a second life with people in our community who need them.
